Nissan Car Plant
Clarke Instruments Ltd in conjunction with Hayden Young has completed the design, manufacture and installation of turnstiles, gates and canopies for the Nissan car plant in
Sunderland
.
Each of the turnstiles comprise of a 120 degree stainless steel hooped bar rotor, electrically released in both direction via a proximity card access control system with a special dual illuminated push to exit switch, only operational when authorised by the access control system. Clarke Instruments has incorporated in the turnstile design a canopy with drainage to offer protection against the elements to its users.
To assist the passage of personnel through the turnstile a status light panel fitted adjacent to the each walkway with day light illumination will indicate when to proceed following a sucessful card authorisation.
An electrically locked gate fitted with a closing mechanism is installed adjacent to each bank of turnstiles to allow controlled pedestrian access.
To enable the turnstiles & gates to withstand prolonged exposure to the elements the static frames of the turnstiles & gates have been shot blast prior to galvanising then followed by a polyester powder coated finish in the customers required colour.
