Type 493 Airlock Bio- Metric Controlled Turnstiles

Clarke Instruments Ltd in has designed and manufactured and installed at the Heathrow T2 construction site a second generation of turnstile units. Designed to be installed externally and controlled via a facial re-cognition system.

By means of an entrapment zone within the turnstile the system ensures that the person accessing or leaving the secure area has gained the necessary security permissions and as an added benefit the Aurora software package incorporates a time and attendance package. Display messages can be displayed to the appropriate screen within the entrapment zone. The added benefit of this type of turnstile is that it ensures that the person entering the secure area is the same person that has entered the turnstile. The turnstile is best suited to a bio-metrics system to obtain the highest security level but will operate from any access control system. Applications for this type of product could be building sites, airports, docks, nuclear establishments etc. any where total security is required with out the need of a security guard in attendance.
