The turnstile only permits access or egress for one individual at a time. The rotor has a secure holding position that prevents passage through the turnstile until verification has been verified by the access control system. The user has the option of leaving the holding area in the same direction as entered by simply activating a push button which in turn will signal the access control system that the user has not entered or left the secure area dependant on which direction you have entered.
For maximine security level the turnstile is best suited to a bio-metric control system but willoperate on most card based control systems.
Only one reader required for bi-directional operation for either standalone or net work systems.
